The Immaculate Heart of Mary Council is located in Lexington Park, Maryland in picturesque St. Mary's County.  It is situated on the grounds of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Church at 22375 Three Notch Road (Route 235).  The Grand Knight for the 2020-2021 fraternal year is Bill Waldron.

Normally, Council Membership meetings are held in the IHM Hall on the second Wednesday of each month and Officer's Planning meetings are held in the IHM Classrooms on the first Wednesday of each month.  During the corona virus, meeting times vary and should be confirmed with the Grand Knight.  The 4th Degree Father Andrew White Assembly meets on the third Thursday of each month at various local Councils rotating each month.  

The IHM Council was founded on January 15, 1989 through the efforts of the first Grand Knight Dr. Antonio "Tony" Dela Paz DDS and then IHM Pastor Father Michael Wilson (now Monsignor Wilson).  Since the days of the second Grand Knight Dennis DeCarlo and the 39 other member Knights, the Council has grown to over 170 members with several Star Council Awards.

As the Council name implies, Council 9968 works closely with the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lexington Park, Maryland, providing funds for various projects and supporting all activities of the Parish.
